MixAlco > Testing on a Commercial Scale
Terrabon is testing the scaled-up commercial feasibility of its innovative MixAlco technology at its Advanced Biofuels Research facility in Bryan, Texas. The facility, which has a loading capacity of 400 dry tons of biomass (equivalent to 5-tons per day), uses sorghum as the primary feedstock for producing organic salts and ketones. The ketones produced at the facility will be converted into gasoline at the company’s pilot plant in College Station, Texas.
